A message from ICI Shura Council regarding lawsuit (9/17/2020)

Assalaamu Alaikum Dear Community Members,

Alhamdulillah, we have made good progress in working toward resolving the outstanding legal issues. NAIT is working on developing a legal framework to address the issues and Insha'Allah a mediation/arbitration agreement will be reached soon. ICI had stopped the summons from being served to the concerned previous SC members on 9/7/2020 (summons are issued by the courts but served by the plaintiff).

Insha Allah, once a mediation-arbitration agreement is reached that protects ICI’s amanah, ICI will withdraw the lawsuit.

Alhamdulillah! The Islamic Center of Irving is pleased to announce that starting Monday, August 10, 2020, ICI will be opened for Fajr, Maghrib and Isha salahs. These salahs will be held in the Multiple Purpose Hall (MPH) on a first-come-first serve basis. Overflows (and for those who would prefer to pray in the open), will be accommodated in the parking lot. If you decide to pray in the open, please be mindful to stay behind the markings that will indicate Imam’s position.

2 Jumu’ah salahs will be held at 2 and 3 PM respectively in the MPH. Similar to the regular prayers, overflows will be accommodated in the Parking lot.

Please follow the following safety guidelines:

* Admission will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. No registration is required.
* Everyone must wear a mask.
* Everyone must bring their own prayer mat and shoe bag.
* Wudu should be performed at home (ICI bathrooms, wudu areas and water fountains will remain closed at all times).
* Everyone will be required to maintain 6ft social distancing
* Anyone with flu-like symptoms or pre-existing conditions prone to COVID-19 should please stay home
* Everyone is expected to leave immediately after salah and pray their Sunnah at home
* Please know you are coming to the Masjid at your own risk and ICI will not be responsible if you get sick
