YMX Gives | Sura 107 | Small Kindness

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

YMX Gives - Small Kindness
Giving back to our community this Fall
ICI-YMX

Irving, Texas November 2015

This Fall, in the pursuit of giving back to our community, the Irving YMX (Young Muslim Experience) will host its annual YMX Gives for the Irving and select Dallas communities. YMX will purchase food, build food baskets, and personally deliver these food baskets to neighbors in need.

This year, we would like to surpass last year’s goal of 800 meals. Our goal this Fall is to sever 200 turkeys that can create over 1,200 meals (based on a family size of 6).

This year's menu will aim towards healthier food options such as fresh and frozen vegetables, whole lean turkey, herbs and spices.

The build & delivery day for the baskets will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015, from 11 am - 4 pm at Islamic Center of Irving.

Yes, those who would like to volunteer or help fund YMX Gives, please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The inspiration for this project comes from Sura 107 Ma'un, Br. Abbas' Mother in Law and his wife.

Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense? (1) For that is the one who drives away the orphan (2) And does not encourage the feeding of the poor. (3) So woe to those who pray (4) [But] who are heedless of their prayer - (5) Those who make show [of their deeds] (6) And withhold [simple] assistance. (7)
