ICI Organizational Structure Shuraa Council
The constitution of ICI mandates a three-tier organization. The General Body
comprises of all registered members of the ICI in good standing. The General
Body elects the Shuraa Body, a group of 30 brothers for a period of 3 years.
The Shuraa Body elects six members of the Shuraa Council . One ISNA
representative is also selected from the Shuraa Body into the Shuraa Council.
The Shuraa Council is the highest executive body of ICI. Its term in office is
three years, and is comprised of seven members from the Shuraa Body. The Shuraa
Council runs the affairs of ICI on a day-to-day basis, hires employees, and
oversees the general direction of the Islamic Center of Irving. The current
Shuraa Council was elected into office in August 2007, and will remain in office
until July 2010 InshaAllah.
